Annual Summer Meeting Scheduled for May 5, 2012
Dan and Barbara Ehrhorn invite everyone to the a summer meeting of LHS’58 classmates on Saturday, May 5, 2012 their beautiful home near Weatherford, just west of Fort Worth. Kay Carmickle Kirkpatrick has hosted summer meetings for several years at her home in Lubbock, but this year she has joined with the DFW area group to move the summer meeting to the DFW area. June 29, 2011Dear Classmates,
Monday, July 4th, is the day for our class luncheon, but due to the holiday, we are going to cancel it. I think with summer here, and so many people involved in various activities, trips, etc, that we will discontinue the noon gatherings until fall. We will see how many want to continue having them at that time.
We really enjoyed all of you that were able to come to the 53rd reunion. It was small, but quality.
Looking forward to seeing all of you again sometime soon.
Love from Kay

Dear Classmates,
For the 2011 summer class reunion, we have chosen Saturday, June 18th. It will be at our house, 8609 Rochester Avenue. Come anytime from 11:00 on.
Please bring side dishes, meat dishes, desserts, fruits, or whatever suits you. Jack & I will do hot dogs and drinks, paper goods, etc. Your company is what is most important. Dress is very casual. Weather permitting; we will be mostly outdoors, but with a cool house to retreat into whenever you wish. Don't forget cameras, photo albums, annuals, swim suits and towels, sun screen, whatever. Once again, feel free to bring friends, family, whoever you would like to share with your class. They are all welcome. If there is someone whose address I may not have, please forward this to them, and their address to me. This has become my favorite weekend of the year. We are so blessed to have such a huge, close class. Please let us know if you can come or not, and how many to expect. The more, the merrier.

Dear LHS Classmates,
Thanks to everyone who came to the 52nd class reunion July 17th. We had a small crowd, about 35, but we had a great time. We really appreciate all the people who drove or flew so far to be here. At the gathering, some of us discussed trying to start up a get-together once a month. We have so much fun, and a year is a long time to wait. I have contacted the Furr's Cafeteria on Slide Rd, across from the SP Mall, and we are set up for the following days.
August 23rd
September 20th
October 18th
November 22nd
December 20th
We will meet from 11:30 until 1:00, and I am sure that if we run over that time, they won't mind. We do all need to eat lunch to justify them letting us use the room, and we have to have at least 25 people there. If you see any of your friends who don't have e-mail, please invite them to join us. As much as this group likes to talk, I think it will be a great time for all.
Hoping to see you all on the 23rd.

Dear LHS Classmates,
This is just a note to let you know that we will be having our annual summer reunion on Saturday, July 17th, this year. We will hold it at our house (Kay Carmickle Kirkpatrick and husband, Jack Kirkpatrick). We will begin gathering at 11:00 AM and will probably eat about 12:30. As usual, it isn't over until the last ones leave. If you need to come late, or need to leave and come back, that is all fine. It will be a covered dish lunch, and we always seem to have enough left-overs to make supper. Jack & I will be furnishing drinks and hot dogs. Just bring whatever you want to in the way of food. It always works out. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, take all your meds before you come, and be prepared for a good, long, eatin', chattin' afternoon. I do believe the older we get, the more these get-togethers mean to all of us. If you have been to one before, I know you'll want to come back. If you haven't come before, you just don't know what you're missing.
If you didn't get your annual signed in high school, bring it with you. It's never too late. If you have some pictures you would like to share with us, we would love to see them. Mostly, just bring yourself. Go to bed early the night before so you can last a long time. We have lost a couple of classmates since last year, and that just reminds us not to put off renewing old acquaintances.
We live at 8609 Rochester Avenue in Lubbock. That is in far South-West Lubbock, for those who haven't been here before. I am attaching a map to help you find us, but don't hesitate to call if you need directions. Our phone numbers are 806-794-6164 our cells, Kay, 806-787-7029 and Jack 806-786-3946. We will try to send a written reminder later, but please print this off and save it. If you know of someone whose information we might not have, please send so we can add them to the list. If you would like to send a few bucks to keep the reunion fund going, feel free to do so. I think we have about $200 in the kitty, but postage is high. That is just about one mailing.
Just can't wait to see everybody in July. Take care of yourselves and please try to come. You'll be sorry if you don't.
Love to you all,
Kay K
