Dear Classmates;
I apologize for being so slow in getting the reunion information out this year. I have had a couple of little strokes in Feb. and March, and wasn’t sure I would be able to do it. However, I am feeling much better, and am very anxious to see you all this summer.
We have scheduled our 55th reunion for Saturday, August 17th. We will convene at 11:00 am for a covered dish lunch. The class will furnish fried chicken, drinks, paper goods, etc. Please feel free to bring whatever else suits you for lunch. If you are here from out-of-town, there is always fruit, desserts, chips, cookies, etc. We will gather at our home at 8609 Rochester Avenue, Lubbock, TX 79424

The commitee discussed doing more activities, but it was the general consensus that what we really want to do is just to visit with our old friends and eat, of course. Please bring your cameras, your old photos, your annuals, etc.
The cost is $25.00 each for class members, which includes some cash for postage. (About half our class still has no e-mail.) Spouses and/or friends are only $15.00. If you would like to make a donation to the class fund, that would be welcome also.
Arbor Inn & Suites, (806) 722-2726, 5310 Englewood Avenue, offers rooms with 2 queen beds and a complimentary breakfast for $98.00. Nice place, convenient location, and best price we could find. Just tell them that you are with the Lubbock High School 1958 group. They said that this is a VERY busy time for them with Tech starting up, so if you even think you want to come, go ahead and book your room now. They will only block them for 2 weeks without a guaranteed number, and of course, I have no idea, and don’t want to give them my credit card for a guarantee. You can always cancel later, and they won’t have any trouble renting it again.
I am typing this in a hurry, but I will send a better organized note later, but PLEASE go ahead and make your hotel reservations now while they are available. I really do hope you will all try to come. We are not getting any younger, so come while you can.
