Annual Christmas Party
at Don Weldons home on Saturday, December 14th
Dear Classmates;
On Saturday, December 14, at the home of Don and Nancy Weldon we are having the "LHS '58-'59" get-together. Don and Nancy have a beautiful country home that they are going to share with us. We were there during bluebonnet season several times, and we had a great Christmas party there last year. It is a wonderful place to have a party. We had a fabulous time there last year and will do so again this year.
Please come and join the fun - visit with your classmates, meet new friends and have a great lunch. The Weldons will provide the meat and drinks such as soft drinks, coffee, iced tea, and bottled water. Guests should bring a dish such as vegetables, salads, casseroles chip-and-dip, relish trays and breads or desserts to complete the meal. At this time we do not plan to ask for a list of items you will bring. If you are coming from out of town, you might want to bring something from a nearby deli or a grocery store. If that is not easy to do, just bring yourselves.
The festivities will begin around 10:00 am and go until Don and Nancy turn out the lights. Everyone is invited to arrive early and stay for the entire day in order to enjoy the country atmosphere, great food and the priceless socializing and fellowship with old friends!
Of course, well sing lots of Christmas carols and as a special attraction Don has made four CDs with about 60 gospel songs which he is giving them away at senior citizens homes, churches, etc. A sample of songs is available at http://lubbockhighclassof1958.com/don-weldon.html
You may send a RSVP as a short note to Don at dweldon@ectisp.net in order that we will know in advance how many are attending and we will be able to complete our preparations accordingly. The LHS1958 website will have more information on the reunion, so you might want to check it periodically.
We are not asking for a registration fee, but we will pass Santa's hat around for contributions as seed money for the next DFW reunion meeting and LHS58 website maintenance.
We know that this is going to be a great day, and all of us in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area are looking forward to seeing you on December 14!
